I, too, was unsure of what to blog about this week, but Mr Regiers post got me thinking too.I have really appreciated the inspiration and encouragement the team has been to me this year. It has helped me step up my training and start making more progress towards earning my black belt. Yes, I have a few steps to go before that, but with the support and challenge of those around me, I will get there much faster than on my own. I am reminded of another time I had this type of experience; I have served at christian summer camps before and the incredible years were those in which we pulled together and bonded as team. We met, prayed, laughed, cryed, challenged and grew together. The hardest thing in the world was leaving that at the end of the summer for what my parents called 'the real world'. But as Mr Regier said, this isnt the real world. This is just existence. I have never been more alive or real then when I have been a part of something more; something greater than myself. I can only hope we can continue to grow as a team and transcend what we thought we could do; for what we achieve together will be so much more than just the number of reps we do.
Thank you Mr Regier for reminding me of this.
